50th Anniversary Barn Dance

On Saturday 11th July 2009 Melksham Swimming club celebrated their 50th Anniversary with a Barn dance at Hendre Farm.

After months of organising the event was attended by around 200 members past and present in fancy dress, who enjoyed music from the band Blazing Saddles and  food from the barbacue.
There was a full dance floor for the dances called by the Blazing saddles, all ages joined in and really enjoyed themselves.

Prizes were awarded for the best costumes in the under 12's, over 12 to 16's  and adults.

One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of a life membership by Steve Fivash to Dave Pegg for his 17 years service to the club.
