MASC November 2009 Bulletin
Melksham Swordfish ASC
November Bulletin 2009. ( web version )
Welcome to Paul Nicol who we are delighted to announce has once more joined our poolside team! Paul has a vast amount of experience in the swimming world, has swum & taught at MASC in the past.
Unfortunately, Due to work commitment we will not see Rab this side of Christmas. We all hope to see Rab again on poolside on Monday evenings again in the New Year.
Annual AGM to be held on Monday 9th November 2009 at Melksham House in Pit Stop room. All members & interested parties are invited & encouraged to attend – however we unable to accept children at the meeting.
This is members’ opportunity to express any issues that they have (good or bad) concerning MASC and more importantly to learn first hand how the club is run.
For the benefit & progression of the swimmers please help us to keep the club progressing forward. We urgently need more volunteers to share the workload! However small your contribution it all helps. We look forward to seeing you there.
We currently need more volunteers to register our swimmers prior to their swim session. Please contact Carolyn Britten. Your club need you!!

It is important that all competitors pass this course to enable them to safely & legally dive into the shallow end of the pool for races. Poolside will be informing those swimmers who need to attend.

The club would like to wish good luck to the 7 swimmers who have entered & are representing the Club at the Bernie Nicol Open meet on the 4th December at Bath University 50m Pool.
We aim to persuade a lot more swimmers to attend Open Meets next year, as they are a lot of fun aswell as a big opportunity for the swimmers to compete against others in their age group in the area.
Wiltshire counties will be the next meet the club will be attending. Entry forms & details will be out early next year for those swimmers who have qualified this year.
