MASC Swimmers in Pier to Pier event

                    Melksham Swimmers complete charity Pier to Pier swim.

On 19^th July family trio, Dad Nick & daughters Rachel (21) & Jen Hale (19) took part in a charity swim from Bournemouth Pier to Boscombe Pier, a total of 1.4 miles. The event was in aid of the British Heart Foundation, who aimed to raise £85,000 from the 1200 swimmers participating.

Rachel & Jen, both swimmers for many years with Melksham ASC, completed the swim in 24 minutes with Nick not far behind on 35.00.

Melksham ASC presented a cheque for £50 which was from donations received from their recent 50^th Anniversary Barn Dance.

Registration for next year’s event takes place in January 2010. A participating adult must accompany entrants under 16.
